She is a white queer cisgender femme who was raised on the traditional territory of the Attawandaron people in Guelph Ontario, and is currently a visitor on the traditional and unceded territories of the Musquem, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh people in the city known as Vancouver BC. Cindy is also a proud parent of a gender creative teenager and a partner of a gender non-conforming/masculine woman.
