Festival Locations

The Roundhouse

181 Roundhouse Mews, Vancouver, BC

Queer Arts Festival takes place on the traditional, unceded territory of the xʷməθkwəy̓əm (Musqueam), sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) and səl̓ílwəta? (Tsleil-Waututh) nations. We recognize their sovereignty, as there are no treaties on these lands, and we are dedicated to building a new relationship between our nations based on respect and consent. In 2017, with the generous guidance of artist Tuy’t’tanat – Cease Wyss, we visited the xʷməθkwəy̓əm, sḵwx̱wú7mesh and səl̓ílwəta? Nations, following the traditional protocol to officially request permission to present the festival on their lands. They were exceedingly gracious, and told us they hoped more organizations would do this.

We are proud to be partners with the Roundhouse Community Arts & Recreation Centre. Most events, workshops & performances are held there: 181 Roundhouse Mews (Pacific & Davie). The Roundhouse is a fully wheelchair accessible venue. To view full accessibility audit, click HERE. Thanks to the Radical Access Mapping Project for their audit of the Roundhouse.
